This bar is truly special, not just for its incredible flavour but also for the remarkable journey behind it. The beans come from a humid rainforest in a war-torn area, accessible only by hiking or riding mules through muddy, treacherous mountainside roads. Knowing this makes me appreciate it even more. The lighter roast profile brings out an Earl Grey-like tannin and floral duality, giving it fruity notes of fig and dates, along with a hazelnut-spread sweetness. It's earthy, distinct, and has an almost refreshing quality.
